Finally catching up on my movie watching.

I haven't sat through more than about three movies in a theatre since the preschooler was born. Seriously. Three. Though I'm not sure it was that many. It's just too much of a hassle finding babysitting, not to mention expensive. It just hasn't been worth the trouble.

Even going to the video rental store to catch up on everything hasn't seemed worth it. After all, I've got to drag both the girls with me, and the preschooler invariably starts running madly about the store, disappearing for heart-stoppingly long periods while I run up and down the aisles calling her name. (It's so fun to frighten Mommy into hysterics! What a great game!) If I send the husband he tends to come home with movies like The Green Berets, which was only interesting to me the first time I saw it, on one of our early dates.

So I signed up for Netflix. And I've been having a blast. Utterly worth the cost, especially since I don't have to worry about late fees. (The teen loaned a movie to a friend once. We had $12 in overdue fines by the time we got it back.)

Free enterprise. Gotta love it.
