Maturity plus family minus 30 years equals ?

So.

Well.

Ahem.

Say someone I know, some middle-aged woman with two small children, just a friend you understand, told me that she spent the day spouting off to a third party about how wonderful she is. You know the sort of thing. "I invented the internet, blah, blah, blah, best mother in the world, blah, blah, sew designer outfits by hand for impoverished third world starving children, blah, blah, blah, husband worships the ground I walk on, blah, bleh, bleaagh."

Excuse me while I go writhe in shame (for her, of course. I'm embarrassed for my friend, not myself. I wouldn't want you to be confused about that, you know.)

Anyway, is she simply a complete loser? Should she be turned out of doors by decent people? Does it make any difference if it was my her father she spent the day bragging to?

Update on today, tomorrow. Maybe. They're picking us up in the afternoon to go to the park, after spending all day at the zoo today. It was a good day. Lots of fun and much spoiling for the girls. But wow, are we tired.
