Good heavens, the search strings have gone crazy all of a sudden. Who would have guessed that so many people were looking for instructions on how to make a Waldo costume? And children seem to be swallowing coins at an unprecendented rate. I can only assume that it is because they have been trick or treating early (as my two did at our church Trunk or Treat last weekend) and have been gorging on their candy so rapidly that they are swallowing coins without even realizing what they are holding.
Arielle had a Halloween party at preschool today, so she got to wear her costume (a ballerina, with wings and a wand, because she couldn't be persuaded to get a ballerina costume instead of the pixie costume - but she still wants to be a ballerina.) She came home with far too much candy (Ha! It's easy to give it out and send them home, isn't it, oh you evil teachers, you!) and performed a song for me that she learned that day.
Ghosts and goblins, (bringing hands forward and back in some sort of scary motion, I think)
Ghosts and goblins,
lots of witches, (hands steepled over her head like a witches hat)
lots of witches,
Boo! to you! (brings hands forward suddenly with fingers spread like a ghost about to grab you)
Boo! to you!
She was very proud of herself and did it twice for me. Sadly by the time Daddy came home, I think she'd forgotten it, because she refused to do it for him. I'll have to get one of the other moms to help me remember the tune so I can teach it to Arielle again.
