Needless to say, the girls are in a complete frenzy today. I keep telling Arielle that we can't go trick or treating until after dinner, which led her to say, at lunchtime, "I want dinner now!" They are both in their costumes and have been all day.
It's so fun to watch them enjoying those very feminine little costumes. Gabrielle was swishing her princess skirt from side to side earlier, and Arielle keeps fluffing out her ballerina skirt. I remember how much I loved skirts that spun out when you twirled when I was little. I never got to have those kind of skirts very often; they weren't in fashion back then. It feels really good to let my daughters have things like that. I guess I'm committing the cardinal sin of parenting - living through my children. If this is the worst I ever do, though, I'm probably in pretty good shape!
