Yeah, Kira posts on her wedding day, and I don't post for over a week, even though all we're doing is buying a house.
But we are buying it! We close in in the middle of March, and then we'll have until the end of the month to get everything ready over there and all our stuff moved over. Most important priorities: get a washer and dryer and put up a fence in the back yard.
So far I have packed one box of paperback books.
We had better stay in this house for a long time, because I'm not willing to move again any time soon. Packing was so much easier when I was single!
My decorating ideas have changed. Now I'm thinking celery green for the common dining room/living room wall, stripes for the girls' room (when I showed Arielle a picture similar to the fairy tale princess/garden scene I was thinking about, she said, "That's stupid." Ooookay. Time for a change of plans), and dark blue with a white wainscoting for Michael's room. I want to put up bead board, but I've never done anything like that and it scares me. So I might try combing white on white to get something vaguely like what I'm thinking about.
The husband is going to be gone on an unavoidable business trip the week that we'll be doing the last of the moving (which will probably be the bulk of the moving.) How does he manage to time these things so well?
